I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook, I really do. But as much as I pull my hair out over rubbish analytics and boring friend’s updates. I know it’s essential for my blogs success. (You may want to read more about that in THIS blog post, all about how I Tripled my blog views in one day!).
Not only do I need Facebook for the purpose of having a Facebook Page to share my posts and other updates. But also, because there’s so many communities that can be tapped into on there. For help, inspiration, discussions, encouragement, self-promotion, ranting, opportunities and generally feeling part of something. So I want to share with you the groups that I’ve been told about, or stumbled across myself, that have given me all the above.
Online Business BFF’s
They say you become the 5 people you spend most of your time with, so why not brush shoulders (virtually) with over 50,000 entrepreneurial women, men, mums and bloggers. This group is a great source of help as well as inspiration. I find there’s a good ratio of business owners and bloggers. So, if you’re crowd-sourcing/working on a project/need a VA literally anything you could think of, you’ll find at least a handful of people who can help. Or even just share your small wins to a bunch of like minded people.
Digital Nomad Girls
If you’re lucky enough to blog full time or freelance (like me), from home (or anywhere you can get WIFI), you’ll want to join this group. Working from home can get lonely, so I think it’s really important to build connections where you can, but of course, if you travel a lot, this can prove quite difficult. Don’t fret! This group provides the solution, not only do they host regular events all around the world to connect digital nomads who are working remotely. You can just give a shout out and see if there’s anywhere near you who you can meet up with. And of course enjoy general chit chat, stories and advice. It’s a very inspiring and dream influencing group to be in, if you desire to work remotely.
FBL: Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Bloggers
The Facebook Community to go along with the weekly twitter chat #fblchat. One of my favourite chats (which I’ve got a really bad habit of missing lately). A place where bloggers in the above categories can share and promote their latest blog posts, source bloggers for opportunities and generally support each other. If you want to know of any more twitter chats out there for bloggers, don’t worry I’ve got you covered, there’s a HUGE list HERE.
Growing Social Media For Bloggers
I have been absolutely loving this group lately! The clues in the name that it’s a group of bloggers looking to grow their social media. Each day there are a great selection of threads to participate in and I feel they have a really good balance. Threads range from small blog comment, to Pinterest re-pins and social media engagement. The admins regularly ask topical questions and create polls to see what WE’D benefit from, to make sure they’e fulfilling the needs of everyone in the group. There are many groups out there that have the same structure, but I prefer the diversity and standard of bloggers in this group.
Instagram Marketing Mastermind
When fellow blog friends ask me about social media and IG, I always advise them to join this group. It’s helped me leaps and bounds get a better understanding of the platform, keeping me up to date with those blasted algorithm changes. And hearing great advice from IG superstar Alex Toby of the Men and Coffee account, whose created multiple streams of income through Instagram, everyone’s dream right? There are literally thousands of people on there, it’s a great place to ask for expert advice and feedback on your account and just generally discuss what’s going on. It helps me feel a little less frustrated with it.
I didn’t want to post direct links as most of them are closed and private. Just type them in the search bar and the should pop up, you may even find some other cool ones in the process.
I hope you found this post helpful, let me know your thoughts in the comments!
