In the last few weeks or so, I’ve purchased a few new make-up items which I wanted to share. Sometimes it’s nice to break up the lenghty posts with something easy to read. Keeping it short and sweet!
I’m usually a creature of habit and tend to stick with the same old! It also takes a lot of umm’ing and ahh’ing for me before I purchase anything new, especially a foundation as I find it really difficult to match my complexion. HOWEVER, I spotted a new beauty store local to me which I’d never heard of and finally ended up going in a few weeks ago as they had a 50% sale. There was so much on offer. I couldn’t believe the variety of items. I headed straight over to the foundation section and was overwhelmed with choice. I asked the assistant for help, told her what I was looking for and she instantly gave me top three. She sat me down at the beauty mirror and we saw which colour matched my skin.
Turns out I’m neutral! I cannot praise this foundation highly enough. It’s a really light coverage that’s buildable and it hoenstly feels like silk on the skin. It’s long wearing and matched my complexion perfectly. I’ve never felt so pleased with a foundation before, especially as I tend to avoid liquid ones. When I’m back from holiday I intend to get some more bits from this brand, would you like to see a hual?
I also took a trip to Superdrug to stock up on a few items before going away and was blown away by the affordability of MakeUp Revolution. I actually got a few bits because there was an offer on, where you receive a free palette when you spend over £12. Turns out it was out of stock. But oh well. I got a couple of nice bits:
I love how simple the packaging is! I used all these yesterday and am in love with the highlighter. The mascara is also a new favourite, the brush is really fat which is just what i like in a mascara. Am not blown away by the eyeliner, the felt tip end dries out quite quickly which makes it hard to do a flick in the outer corner. Also the eye brightener is a waste of money (although it’s only £3), it doesn’t do anything, practically no pigment. I nearly stabbed my eye trying to get it to show up on my waterline and inner eye! Overall I can’t complain and will probably purchase more from MakeUp Revolution as their pallettes are devine!
I’d love to hear what beauty products you’ve tried recently and any favourite brands that I need to check out! Let me know in the comments.
