I’ve been in Sweden for 7 days now and sadly my trip is near its end. BUT as I’m flying home from Copenhagen on Sunday, we’re headed there tomorrow and only have one day to cram in some sightseeing and explore as much of the city as possible. So I’ve been organised for once in my life and have created a small bucket list of the things I’d most like to do to get the absolute most out of our short stay.
The Botanical Gardens – If you need to know one thing about me it’s that I have an obsession with plants. As a florist in training I always like to admire the local botanical shops and have been desperate to visit a botanical garden. So this one is absolutely top of the list.
But before I get lost in a green jungle, we need to fill our tummies. So what better place than a veggie friendly all day breakfast cafe?! Møllers Kaffe og Kockan (find them on Instagram) looks like the perfect spot!
Luckily, this trip is timed quite well with the harbour festival, which is only on this weekend looks like a great event that is also child friendly. There’ll be music and activities we can spend a few hours in the afternoon enjoying.
To get the full Danish experience I need to try some good danish cuisine. Restaurant Kronberg had me at ‘homemade food and coziness’, they serve the traditional smørrebrød (open sandwiches), it would be rude to visit Denmark and not try one!
It’s going to be a long and busy day but hopefully I can tick off everything on here. Have you visited Copenhagen before? Is there any must see places you’d recommend? Let me know in the comments or tweet me your suggestions!
