Lately I’ve been getting a case of itchy feet. Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to spend 3 weeks in Jamaica, (go check out my photo diary from the trip) and I’ve recently booked flights to Sweden in August.
Earlier in the year after being a newly single parent, I said to myself I want to travel more, either solo while I have the freedom, or with my son, so we can experience travelling together. Also, with what feels like everyone except me jetting off on holiday this month, it’s got me thinking of all the other places in the world I’d love to visit and explore.
So I thought I’d write a little bucket list, of my most desired travel destinations:
Because palm trees and hot af weather basically. It’s the only place in America that I’m remotely interested in visiting right now and of course a road trip down the west coast would be an amazing experience.
- Costa Rica
Beautiful scenery, exotic flowers, SLOTHS, swinging in a hammock all day. Do I need to continue?
I’ve wanted to go to Italy for so long because well, pizza and pasta is LIFE. Also, my son is a quarter Italian so it would be rude not to show him his families culture!
- Hokkaido, Japan
Now Japan has not been on my travel radar at all until this week, I watched a nature documentary about Hokkaido and just wow. It’s fertile earth has made it an enormous farming island, which makes it look like an English countryside but far more colourful. This is something I’d love to see in the summer, the acres of lavender and cherry blossom would make me feel euphoric.
- Santorini, Greece
I wouldn’t be a blogger if I didn’t have this one on my list would I?! We’ve all seen the perfectly white streets and blue top buildings on Instagram. I must admit it makes me really want to take those candid shots walking through the houses in a floaty dress. But seriously, I’ve never been to Greece which has been on my list for the longest time, because again food. And Santorini seems to be one of those magical places where I could revive my soul.
I would absolutely love to know if you guys have been to any of these places. Any recommendations, must sees or hotels I need to know about, post in the comments.
I’ve also got lots of inspiration over on my travel board on Pinterest, so take a look.
