First of all, a big thank you to Tara for encouraging me to write this post.
(Here are the rules:
- Thank the person who tagged you – See Tara’s goals HERE
- Set yourself some goals for the next year
- Explain how you’re going to achieve these goals
- Tag at least five of your blogger friends
- And finally in a years time, 365 days write a post reflecting on your goals and what you managed to achieve. )
I definitely believe in the power of setting goals, and not too long ago I wrote 25 things I want to achieve before 25, and I must say I’ve ticked a few things off this list already, but not enough! I have a bit of a bad habit of setting goals, but forget to refer back to them, thus making slow or no progress, oops. So I’m going to keep this list short, sweet and realistic to be sure I actually achieve them by this time next year.
Part of learning to love myself in every aspect, comes physical well-being too. Ive realised that health is really important to be able to apply myself on a daily basis. I want to start doing daily yoga practice and exercise, like walking and short home workouts. I’ve recently got into good habits but find myself lacking motivation at times, so I want to work on that. In a years time I want to be more conscious of my eating habits, learning more about nutrition to feed my body with goodness, which hopefully means I’ll have more energy, brain power and overall fitness.
I’m pretty sure I say this ALL the time, but I really need to stop being a bad blogger and be more consistent. Like fo’ real. When I look back at my blog through the years, there’s really not that much content (in my eyes). I have more posts in the drafts than ones I’ve actually published (slaps self on wrist). Who knows where blogging will be this time next year considering all the shit that’s going on in the blog world at the moment. Regardless, I don’t think blogging is going anywhere, so this time next year is like to see myself posting at least once a week *points stern finger at self*. How will I do this? I need to read more to keep myself inspired, create a schedule and just stop being so damn lazy.
LEARN A NEW SKILL
I’ve recently enrolled in an Aromotherapy course which is learn from home. I’ve just received my first two lessons, and there are twelve in total. So hopefully this time next year I will have got my certificate in Aromatherapy.
This one is really important to me, and although it’s not that easy to make holiday plans when money is restricted, I can still save up for short city breaks. Generally, I just want to get out and about more, even if it’s just within the UK. Now that I have more flexibility and freedom, I’d love to travel more with my son and discover new places together. This time next year, is like to have been to a handful of different countries and places. To do so, I need to be tighter with money, save save save and make realistic plans.
I’ll be tagging five blog friends on Twitter, so head over there. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you in 365 days for an update!
