already? yes yes i know, it’s only just turned October but here at Lush it’s christmas all year round and our launch Halloween and Christmas launch this year has started with a bang. i’ve been waiting to smell and try the 42 new (and old) limited edition festive products for months and i’m excited to share them.
the Christmas period is such a joy to work at Lush and has us all buzzing with excitement throughout the winter months and as a staff member we get in depth training (and a sneak peek into) the whole range. we were lucky enough to receive a goody bag each from our management with random items from the launch. so let’s have a look at what was in mine:
last year i wasn’t the biggest fan of lip scrubs, the tester would get demolished by groups of teenage girls and i hated cleaning the sugar up. however, it’s taken me a whole year but i’ve finally come around to them, my recent favourite being the Popcorn Lip Scrub – with coconut oil an ingredient high up in my books and a sweet/salty flavour. this year we have been greeted with Santa’s Lip Scrub again, it’s cola bottle flavoured with cute (edible) little hearts on top. it does taste wonderfully sweet and is a little gloopier in consistency than the others but nonetheless does the job just as well.
now let me tell you about Hot Toddy.. it was love at first sniff. the main ingredient being ginger infusion with a dash of cinnamon (one of my favourite smells), clove and a hint of oranges, limes and lemons. it’s a spicy, warming, quintessentially Christmas-y product that i cannot get enough of. oh, and it’s glittery.
this little cutie is the same as the Butterball, vanilla scented and full of cocoa butter, great for moisturising dry skin.
now the following products weren’t in my goodie bag, but i just had to treat myself after working the first day of the launch.
these 3 beauties i’ve been waiting all year for. Rose Jam, oh rose jam, this must be my favourite product of all time, it’s amazingly floral and packed full or rose and argan oil, a wonder ingredient that is super rich and nourishing, prefect to use on hair too, you can’t get much better than that. Lord of Misrule is a green Halloween bath bomb with a deep red centre which has you feeling like your bathing in mulled wine, it is also lovely and spicy, perfect for the colder autumn evenings. Lastly, Gold Fun is a shimmery 4 in 1 use product that shares the same scent as Honey I Washed the Kids soap and It’s Raining Men, packed full of honey and softening agents it leaves the skin soft, shimmery and smelling wonderful.
Being around these products almost every day of the week makes me feel incredibly lucky and indulgent and i look forward to sharing more of the range soon.
Let me know what you’re favourite is from this years range in the comments, i’d love to have a read.
